The chips were also glued to the board underneath, but a quick wiggle with some pliers sorted that. Not having access to these I just cut the legs with a craft knife. The proper way to remove a smt chip is with a heatgun or chipquick. Well I had some ST064s smts so figured why not? ![]() Never particularly found it that noisy, though it was noticeable if put before a high gain distortion.Īnyway, I opened it up and found that it was almost identical to the boss, except for the op amps, which were ST 062, which is their version of the tl074. Supposedly the Behringer was a pretty direct clone and I had one. So I saw some low noise mods for the boss ge-7 and got inspired. ![]()
